Rebound Japan Statement

Rebound is closely monitoring the evolving situation in Japan to ensure that we minimise the impact to our customers. Knowing what is happening and where is critical. We are monitoring reports from suppliers with facilities in Japan and the shipping and safety procedures put in place by our main courier UPS who handle our international shipments.

Our aim is to ensure that we keep our customers manufacturing lines up and running.

• We have invested in inventory on regular running parts to accommodate potential customer demand
• Our sales teams are in constant contact with customers regarding order backlogs
• We are focusing our product and market knowledge within our specialist procurement teams on parts which are most likely to be affected

Extract from a Statement from US Customs and Border Office March 2011

“It should be noted that since the event in Japan began, no person, baggage, cargo or aircraft entering the US has received a positive alert for radiation deemed by the CBP to be at harmful levels. In fact, radiation levels measured in the cargo shipments that have alarmed to date are lower than one would receive watching TV for several hours and represent only a fraction of the radiation levels that one would be exposed to when receiving a chest x-ray or other radiological medical treatment.”
